International University Totelos Tournament

In June of 2011 the 27th edition of the International University Totelos Tournament will take place in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. This will be a 3-day event that will take place from the 2nd till the 4th of June 2011. The opening ceremony and the official draw will take place on wednesday evening the 1st of June.

The tournament

For those of you who have never heard of our tournament a short introduction; every year ESZVV Totelos, the student futsal association of Eindhoven, organizes the International University Totelos Tournament (IUTT). It is well known because of its international character, its prestigious futsal and especially its sociability. It is the largest university futsal tournament of Europe, with student participation from all over Europe. In recent years there has been an attendance of up to 36 teams per year, from over 10 different countries. Futsal teams from The Netherlands, Germany, France, England, Wales, Russia, Portugal, Moldova, Cyprus, Serbia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Poland, Israel and Switzerland have participated in the tournament.

What do we have to offer?

These 3 days should be all about futsal and having fun (in whichever order you prefer). You can expect the following;

  • The tournament is intended for serious futsal in a way that is enjoyable for everyone. The tournament will be set up in a way, that makes sure your team advances into a new part of the schedule each day. This should lead to your team ending exactly where they belong after 3 days. It also ensures your team playing at a level similar to yours, providing a lot of close and exciting matches, especially towards the end of the tournament;
  • In compliance with this, we also ensure that every team will play an equal amount of matches, whether they come in first or last;
  • We have great accommodations; 3 fully indoor futsal pitches. All in the same sports-center;
  • There are sleeping accommodations inside the sports-center and camping accommodations directly outside of the sports-center, both provided by the organization. However, if you would rather stay in a hotel in Eindhoven, this is also a possibility of course;
  • Fair play is important to us, which is why we use official futsal referees from the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB). They will ensure fair play throughout the tournament;
  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are included and provided by the organization;
  • Parties!!! We organize a pub crawl and parties exclusively for the participants each evening.

    This year we will have room for 26 male teams and 10 female teams from Universities all over Europe. This 3-day event will take place during Ascension 2011 from Thursday the 2nd of June till Saturday the 4th of June.

    Subscription to the IUTT 2011 can be done by filling in the application form on our website www.totelos.nl/iutt2011. Here you can also find other important information and impressions from previous tournaments. When you have registered your team for IUTT, we will send you a confirmation of your registration.
